From the time I could talk, I heard the gospel from my parents and other Christians. My parents have taught me to read and contemplate the Bible every day and pray to God with an open heart.
When I was little, I was shy and scared to go anywhere without my parents. But when I was alone, I would remember I was not actually alone, and I gained courage from Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all things through him who strengthens me’ and Joshua 1:9 ‘have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’ I have continued to sense God’s presence with me.
Over the last few years I have learnt more and more about God’s plan for my life. I have been growing in faith, and I realise God’s plan of Salvation is for me personally, so it is time to get baptised because Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19 ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit.’
